Throughout Mark’s tenure the township took the necessary steps to weather this economic storm. With Abbo’s direction, the Township was able to reduce expenditures without reducing the quality of services provided residents. This is the type of leadership our township will need now more then ever.
Under Mark Abbo’s leadership, Northville Township teamed with developers, and county officials to create the Coldwater Nature Preserve and the Sheldon Road pathway. Additionally, Abbo led the charge to purchase the former state hospital property and form a citizen’s advisory organization to develop the master plan for the property.
Under Mark Abbo’s leadership Techno SemiChem joined IAV Automotive, Trelleborg, and Meidan Corporation in making Northville’s industrial corridor a premier location to establish a business. Mark also launched the partnership with Plymouth Township, and Wayne County to expand the high tech industrial corridor along 5 Mile Road from Ridge to Napier.
